Position Overview
As the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will lead all site-level EHS initiatives at our large-scale operation of 250+ employees. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, reducing risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture. You’ll drive continuous improvement through hands-on leadership, employee engagement, and strategic alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all EHS programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and training programs to promote a strong safety culture.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Monitor and report key EHS performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Achieve successful outcomes in internal and external audits.
- Reduce workplace incidents, workers’ compensation claims, and EHS-related costs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to embed safety into daily operations.
- Support cultural transformation initiatives focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
- Skilled in incident investigation, risk mitigation, and safety training.
- Demonstrated success in leading EHS programs and improving safety performance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
- Experience with ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and fire prevention preferred.
- Relevant certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH, PE) are a plus.
