Overview
Supervise maintenance operations and lead skilled trades teams to ensure optimal equipment performance, facility upkeep, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop maintenance team including scheduling, performance management, and training
- Execute preventative maintenance programs and oversee equipment repairs
- Coordinate with engineering staff and outside contractors
- Manage facility projects including office moves and building maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Review operational reports and resolve maintenance issues to minimize downtime
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives
- Handle union relations and grievances as needed
Requirements Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years supervising maintenance/skilled trades teams
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Technical aptitude with equipment maintenance
- Self-motivated with ability to drive change
- Experience with TPM, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement concepts highly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
