Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to enhance the quality and capabilities of our mobile and web platforms. This role focuses on eCommerce-related applications, including pickup and delivery workflows.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in React Native and a strong background in test automation, preferably with headless CMS platforms such as Payload CMS or Contentful. You’ll combine development and testing skills to champion quality across teams, maintain automation tooling, and drive end-to-end testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Quality and Automation Efforts

• Coach developers and product teams on automation best practices
• Pair program with team members to mentor on test automation
• Identify gaps in test coverage and build tools to support development
• Train teams on defining and validating acceptance criteria

Design and Execute Comprehensive Testing

• Collaborate during project planning to ensure clear acceptance criteria
• Architect test plans for complex, multi-team workflows
• Develop automated tests for React Native apps and CMS-driven content processes
• Perform exploratory testing to validate user experience across platforms
• Sign off on production readiness and support release validation

Maintain and Improve Automation Frameworks

• Refactor and enhance test automation libraries and tooling
• Implement dynamic test data generation, API mocking, and content validation
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software development experience and 5+ years in test automation
• Expertise in React Native development and testing
• Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Payload CMS or Contentful
• Strong knowledge of automation tools/frameworks (Playwright, Detox, Maestro)
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, Java, C#, and Python
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Agile experience; SAFe or equivalent certification is a plus
• Ability to work independently with ambiguous requirements and solve complex problems
• Strong communication skills to influence and collaborate across teams
• Adaptable to rapidly evolving technologies and business needs
