Job Title: Process Controls Engineer
Overview:
We are looking for a Process Controls Engineer to join our team and take ownership of process-focused automation projects from start to finish. This role plays a key part in supporting and improving manufacturing operations by designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that ensure safe, reliable, and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead controls projects from concept through commissioning, including design, programming, testing, and documentation.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC- and HMI-based control systems (Siemens or Rockwell automation).
  • Work with P&IDs and process equipment including boilers, chillers, wastewater systems, ventilation, ovens, sludge handling, and RTOs.
  • Collaborate with process engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of controls with operations.
  • Monitor system performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain and update documentation for controls architecture, process flow, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • Hands-on experience with Siemens or Rockwell automation platforms.
  • Strong background in process controls with exposure to P&IDs and industrial systems such as boilers, chillers, ovens, ventilation, wastewater treatment, sludge handling, and RTOs.
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently from start to completion.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
