Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Production Technical Trainer to help our teams grow stronger, smarter, and more confident in their roles. In this role, you’ll shape the future of paper manufacturing by empowering employees, enhancing operational excellence, and building a culture of learning and growth.

 What You’ll Do
As a Production Technical Trainer, you’ll drive measurable results through effective training and development programs:

  • Develop and maintain training documentation, assessments, and progress reports
  • Create instructional materials, job aids, and SOP-based content
  • Design paper-specific training modules for production and packaging teams
  • Conduct needs assessments and skills gap analyses
  • Establish feedback loops and continuous improvement plans for training programs
  • Collaborate with corporate and site teams to align training with business goals
  • Drive high training completion and comprehension rates
  • Improve employee performance and reduce onboarding time
  • Contribute to measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency KPIs
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer during startup and new equipment launches
  • Increase consistency in SOP adherence and GMP compliance
  • Strengthen readiness for paper production and packaging operations

Experience and Skills

  • One of the following required:
    • Bachelor’s degree (Adult Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Creative Writing, or related field) + 2 years of related experience
    • Associate degree + 3 years of technical/manufacturing experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent + 5 years of technical/manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience delivering technical training within a GMP facility, vocational school, or community college setting
  • Skilled in delivering technical training in manufacturing or GMP environments
  • Proficient in instructional design, needs analysis, and course development
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of production processes (preferably paper)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Effective at documenting job tasks and creating engaging training materials
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments
