Business Analyst – Healthcare Applications

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong technical aptitude and healthcare domain expertise to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of technology, business process, and end-user experience. The ideal candidate will gather and translate requirements into actionable deliverables, partner closely with clinicians and senior leadership, and support the design and delivery of innovative healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with clinicians, senior leadership (VPs, Senior Directors), and cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Arbitration, RCM) to capture business needs and translate them into requirements.

Lead requirements gathering sessions and document functional and non-functional requirements in partnership with software engineers and architects.

Support full-stack build projects with a focus on end-user experience, usability, and interoperability.

Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for process automation (RPA/IPA).

Prepare clear documentation, use cases, process flows, and decision support materials.

Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the SDLC.

Assist in evaluating app services, integrations, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7).

Create executive-level deliverables and presentations in support of stakeholder communication.

Support application development initiatives across clinical, UX/UI, and interoperability domains.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Aptitude: Strong skills in O365 (Word, Excel); ability to write and interpret technical requirements.

Business Analysis Expertise: Proven experience eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements across complex healthcare systems.

Knowledge of application services and how they function in healthcare environments.

Experience working in or with clinical operations, RCM, arbitration, finance, or legal teams.

Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7) and clinical workflows.

Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both clinicians and executives.

Nice to Have

Experience with automation tools (RPA/IPA) and identifying automation opportunities.

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and PowerPoint for building polished documentation and presentations.

Exposure to UX/UI design principles.

Healthcare app development project experience.
