Quality Manager
Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement across the plant. This role leads quality initiatives, manages certifications, oversees audits, and builds a strong culture of compliance, accountability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all quality certifications and lead successful internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory quality standards.
- Drive reduction of customer complaints and internal defects through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action.
- Lead plant-wide quality initiatives to improve product consistency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Use data, KPIs, and quality tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and proactively address risks.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to embed quality into processes.
- Provide training and coaching to build a quality-first culture at all levels of the organization.
- Serve as a key leader in strategic planning and execution of continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, QMS).
- Expertise in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, RCA, 8D, FMEA, DOE.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across departments.
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to process detail and compliance requirements.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for operational excellence.
- Preferred: ASQ or Six Sigma certification; experience in packaging, paper converting, or chemical/plastics manufacturing.
