We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data solutions that power our business and client-facing applications. You will be a key player in architecting back-end systems, ensuring data integrity, and facilitating seamless data flow across our technology ecosystem.
As a technical leader, you will provide mentorship to other engineers and drive significant projects from initial concept through to successful deployment. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and business analysis, to tackle complex technical challenges and directly influence our long-term data strategy.
Lead the design, development, and integration of modern back-end systems and databases.
Architect and manage data pipelines from multiple sources (APIs, databases, streaming platforms) into enterprise applications, data lakes, and warehouses.
Ensure data security, governance, and performance best practices are applied across all systems.
Oversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical direction and support.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Architecture, Business) to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and continuously improve database and cloud infrastructure performance.
AWS Expertise (5+ years): Hands-on experience with Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and other core AWS services.
Leadership (2+ years): Proven ability to lead development projects, delegate tasks, and mentor team members.
SQL Mastery (7+ years): Database management, performance tuning, stored procedures, and troubleshooting.
Modern Development Skills (5+ years): Building applications using Python, Node.js, and AWS serverless technologies.
Data Integration (5+ years): Experience consolidating data from diverse sources into centralized systems.
Cloud & DevOps (2+ years): Knowledge of AWS Serverless, Containers, Cloud Security, and DevOps practices.
Security Awareness: Strong understanding of IAM policies, encryption, and access controls.
