Job Description

This Individual is primarily responsible for working in conjunction with the Business Intelligence (BI) Team and Business Users to prioritize, design, develop and maintain BI-related programming processes and databases including extract, transform and load (ETL)\integration tools, reporting tools and data analysis tools. Handles full range of technical complexity in data warehouse and BI systems including analysis, design, build, test and coordination with production deployments.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Experience having worked in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Perform analysis of source data systems to profile and understand disparate data sources within the enterprise. Primary focus on Oracle E-Business Suite (Manufacturing, HR, Financials), Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), web analytics and Internet of Things (IoT) data sources.
• Proven record of developing Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes for moving data from source systems or files to data warehouse/lakes using industry leading third-party solutions and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
• Experience developing and publishing data analytic solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
• Ability to write and understand SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL code in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or other related database platforms, i.e. Snowflake, Azure.
• Proficient in the use of Excel for data analysis and reconciliation to other report data.
• Experience and understanding of utilizing cloud services, e.g. Software as a Service, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Services.
• Ability to collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts on requirements gathering and analysis of the department responsibilities and reporting needs.
• Develop technical specifications and custom solutions in Power BI to meet objectives of reporting departmental metrics and KPIs.
• Experience in writing and understanding python code and reading and parsing json data structures through code is a plus.
• Ability to effectively maintain data governance and define procedures to ensure published data conforms to agreed-upon terminology and definitions.
• Experience maintaining, monitoring, and conducting performance tuning of Data Warehouse systems, including databases, ETL\integration tools, reporting tools and data analysis tools.
• Proven ability of coordinating with business for end user acceptance testing and follow formal methodology on documenting approval for any reporting and analytics code released into production.
• Ability to diagnose the root causes of BI related system issues using problem solving skills.
