Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Investigator & Labor Relations Specialist to handle workplace investigations, employee relations issues, and labor compliance. This role will be responsible for ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies, resolving workplace conflicts, and managing labor relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough, impartial, and confidential workplace investigations related to misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
- Document findings, analyze evidence, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports.
- Advise management on labor relations matters, including employee disputes, contract interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
- Handle grievance procedures, employee complaints, and conflict resolution efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as company policies and collective bargaining agreements.
- Partner with legal and HR teams to develop policies and procedures that promote a fair and inclusive work environment.
- Facilitate training programs on workplace ethics, labor relations, and employee rights.
- Maintain detailed case records and track investigation trends to identify areas for policy improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in HR investigations, labor relations, or employee relations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, ADA, EEO).
- Excellent conflict resolution, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
