Job Description
OtterBase is seeking a Systems Engineer to deploy and support advanced software solutions, ensuring seamless integration of network connectivity systems, and troubleshooting data flow and consistency issues. This role involves configuring SQL and NoSQL databases, managing customer projects from production to installation, and providing ongoing support through direct communication with clients to resolve technical issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional experience in systems engineering or networking, with strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN), hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with security best practices and database management systemsDay to Day:
Deploy and support leading software solutions:
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity systems for seamless integration
- Configure SQL and noSQL databases and connections
- Troubleshoot data flow issues
- Troubleshoot data consistency issues
- Determine units for given parameters
- Configure manufacturing focused networks
Customer Facing:
- Manage project with customer teams through production, installation and commissioning
- Communicate with customers to troubleshoot issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional manufacturing experience in Systems Engineering, Networking, or related field.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPN.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Experience working with automated systems and connecting them to databases and cloud services.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of security best practices and protocols.
- Familiarity with databases and data management systems (SQL, NoSQL).
- Certifications in Networking or Cloud Computing
