Job Description

Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive software strategy and technology transformation within our Digital Services domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in leading the adoption of new technologies, managing the replacement or modernization of legacy systems, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This role will be responsible for overseeing and consulting on several projects within the domain, integrating cutting-edge technologies such as Kafka, LaunchDarkly, and Kubernetes, while adhering to industry best practices.

Responsibilities/skills:
  • Architect, design, and review the implementation of solutions for the Loyalty domain within our Digital Services offerings.
  • Lead the development of industry-leading design patterns and frameworks for domain-specific codebases, setting clear standards and best practices for teams to follow.
  • Mentor engineering teams in the domain, providing guidance on design principles and best practices.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to ensure code modernization and alignment with industry standards.
  • Create a production-ready proof of concepts (POCs) to demonstrate innovative solutions.
  • Offer leadership and guidance on non-functional requirements (NFRs), including security, performance, reliability, scalability, maintainability, and usability.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and maximize value for customers.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with a strong technical foundation.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-wide Digital Services.
  • Expertise in software development best practices.
  • Proficiency in Azure/.NET, Kafka, LaunchDarkly, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of React is a plus.
  • Experience in the retail industry, particularly in customer loyalty programs.
  • Strong skills in defining architecture for large teams and creating comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with various software project management methodologies, with deep experience in Agile development.
  • Proven success in contributing to enterprise-level projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred.
  • Solid experience in structured design, development, and implementation of both new and existing computing architectures.
