Overview: We are seeking a skilled Controls Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and conveyor systems within our facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in PLC programming and troubleshooting, and a focus on ensuring the efficient operation of our production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of controls technicians in the maintenance, repair, and optimization of PLC systems and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for PLCs and conveyor systems to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot PLC programming issues and diagnose faults in conveyor systems to ensure continuous operation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for system improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity and reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory levels.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to controls technicians, including training and mentoring as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities, and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repair services as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in PLC technology and conveyor system design to inform maintenance strategies and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
