Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located in Earth, Texas. The E&C Engineer will provide civil engineering expertise, focusing on evaluting project drawings and handling Request for Information (RFIs) across multiple projects. 

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space.

• Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to clearly outline requirements for submittals and RFIs.
• Evaluate drawings, studies, and analyses to verify alignment with project specifications and requirements.
• Review technical documentation and communicate variances from company master specifications internally for approval.
• Provide on-site support during construction by assisting team members with civil engineering-related questions.
• Clarify design or construction process details and troubleshoot issues arising on-site.
• Manage planning, reviewing, and direct support activities throughout the construction phases.
• Resolve RFIs and non-conformance requests effectively and in a timely manner.
• Interpret and understand design drawings to ensure construction compliance with design specifications.
• Manage RFI requests and maintain adherence to design and regulatory requirements.
• Support a multifunctional group including internal business units and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Facility Operations, Siting and Land Rights, and Environmental Teams.
• Collaborate with external entities including County and State Agencies, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
• Assist in obtaining necessary local and state permits for large construction projects.
• Work closely with EPC contractors, project managers, construction field teams, construction managers, and construction/civil inspectors.
• Coordinate with Project Controls staff regarding cost and scheduling.

• 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design)
• Experience working with utilities or design firms on renewable technologies
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical skills.
• Professional Engineering license, or Engineering in Training/certification is strongly preferred.
