Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Construction Manager for a position located in Menomonie, Wisconsin. The Construction Manager will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or hydroelectric projects.
Construction Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance on civil works including excavation, foundation treatment, concrete placement, spillways, intake structures, and embankments.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, engineers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and quality control.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, monitor progress, and control costs to ensure project delivery within budget.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures for all civil works, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with design teams, consultants, government agencies, and local communities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
Requirements of the Construction Manager:- Bachelor’s degree or significant related field experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or hydroelectric projects.
- Strong knowledge of dam construction methods, civil construction, and concrete technology.
- Proficiency in construction management tools. (Microsoft products, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in remote or challenging environments.
- Experience with Mass concrete pours, setup and QC is preferred.
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices in hydro projects is preferred.
- Previous work on international or government-funded infrastructure projects is a nice to have.
