Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Controls Specialist for a position located in Amarillo, Texas. The Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for weekly and monthly schedule updates for large scale utility projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate must have 10+ years of project lifecycle scheduling experience.
  
Project Controls Specialist Responsibilities:

• Gather and consolidate project updates from various internal departments, manufacturers, and contractors.
• Publish regular update reports and documentation to the project SharePoint site for team-wide visibility.
• Participate in weekly and/or monthly update meetings with Project Managers to review project progress and identify at-risk activities.
• Run schedule-related reports, conduct meetings with PMs for schedule updates, and perform risk analysis as needed.
• Review contractor submittals for quality assurance (QA) and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across project phases.
• Provide support for multiple multimillion-dollar projects within the region, all associated with the implementation of a new ERP system.

Requirements of the Project Controls Specialist:

• 10+ years of project lifecycle scheduling experience, preferably within the utility, oil, or gas industry.
• Solid understanding of risk analysis and project management processes.
• Experience supporting large, complex projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with large-scale project environments and utility/energy sector experience is nice to have.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
