Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for an Operator for a position located in Madison, Wisconsin. The Operator will complete job tickets completely and accurately and will maintain assigned equipment through proper cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating. The Operator will be on first shift, Monday–Friday (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have reliable transportation and an eagerness to learn and train.
Operator Responsibilities:
- Operates assigned equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Exercises the responsibility for the prevention of loss or damage of assigned equipment, company properties, and customer materials.
- Completes job tickets completely and accurately.
- Notifies the Supervisor of any problems impacting quality or meeting scheduled completion time.
- Maintains assigned equipment through proper cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating.
- May train new operators on the equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
- Perform all quality checks that are required.
- Reports to Production Supervisor.
- Regular contact with Supervisors and other operators.
Requirements of the Operator:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 months of experience operating printing or print finishing equipment, preferred.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good eye for detail and quality.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand job tickets.
- Able to lift 40 pounds with or without accommodations.
- Periodic lifting, twisting, and bending is required.
- Standing for the duration of shift.
