Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Construction Supervisor for a position located in Hobbs, New Mexico. The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for high-voltage commissioning inspection within the substation, ensuring the proper integration of solar-generated electricity into the grid. 

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5-7 years’ experience with high-voltage electrical systems.

• Oversee the field installation of substations and transformers.
• Attend planning meetings and coordinate with the project team.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to the team.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, and the onsite construction manager.
• Work with two other inspectors and the regional superintendent to ensure project success.
• Maintain continuous interaction with external vendors and team members to address any issues promptly.

• 5-7 years’ experience with high voltage electrical systems.
• A degree is not required, though relevant field experience, an apprenticeship, or a journeyman electrician license is preferred.
• Previous commissioning experience is preferred, especially in solar or wind energy projects.
• Must be familiar with the hazards of high-voltage environments.
• Highly collaborative and team-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
