Job Description
One Tech Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The Electrical Engineer will support a large-scale, multi-year initiative focused on wildfire mitigation across multiple regions.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and previous experience with system protection and distribution system modeling.
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities: - Collaborate with internal engineers and external EPC contractors to support a large-scale program.
- Conduct site visits as needed, based on project requirements and team coordination.
- Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system.
- Develops functional requirements.
- Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
- Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates.
- Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product.
- Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
- Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
Requirements of the Electrical Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with system protection and distribution system modeling.
- Familiarity with modeling software such as ASPEN, Synergi, or CAPE.
- Strong technical competency with the ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in distribution system modeling is a plus.
