Job Description

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Designer for a position located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Designer will design and manage electric distribution projects for new and existing customers.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background or basic knowledge in electrical systems.

• Interact with customers to understand project requirements and provide design solutions.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Conduct field assessments to gather necessary data for accurate system designs.
• Develop system designs using GE Smallworld (customized GIS platform).
• Monitor SAP for new customer contacts and project updates.
• Perform both field visits and computer-based design work, as needed.
• Participate in weekly scheduling meetings.
• Provide design support for the electric division and collaborate with service and gas designers as necessary.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably with a background or basic knowledge in electrical systems.
• Experience in the electrical or utility fields is a plus.
• GIS or AutoCAD experience is nice to have.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication (verbal and written).
• Organizational and project management skills.
