Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems, control circuits, and power distribution throughout manufacturing facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, controls, and automation issues involving manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Support PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and other industrial automation and control systems.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and optimize energy usage.
- Support the installation, testing, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and electrical systems.
- Create, update, and maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement process improvements and automation solutions.
- Ensure electrical systems and projects comply with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and applicable safety standards.
- Coordinate with outside contractors, vendors, and utility companies as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel and equipment operators.
- Support capital projects and other facility improvement initiatives from design through implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial automation controls.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and controls systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or comparable electrical design software.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and electrical safety standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
