Our client is a leading manufacturer of air-cooled heat exchangers and custom-engineered thermal solutions serving industrial and energy markets. They are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team in the Tulsa, OK area

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize production floor layouts to improve workflow, reduce material handling, and increase manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process flow improvements to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce cycle times.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other industry best practices.
  • Evaluate production capacity and recommend equipment upgrades, layout changes, and process improvements to support future growth.
  • Partner with Design and R&D teams to ensure new products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and integrated efficiently into existing production processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on production inefficiencies and work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate equipment utilization and lead the planning and integration of new equipment to improve production flow and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and maintain process layouts, process flow documentation, SOPs, and other manufacturing standards.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities related to production layouts, equipment utilization, and material handling.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to resolve manufacturing and product flow issues.
  • Travel occasionally for vendor selection, audits, equipment evaluations, and related business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or manufacturing optimization within a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production layout optimization, workflow management, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and other engineering tools used for facility layouts and process design.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Ability to evaluate manufacturing processes, equipment, and capacity to support operational growth.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
