The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures that protect the organization’s systems and data. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, risks, configuring security tools, and supporting incident response efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) with knowledge of Azure SSO and Okta. (HAVE TO HAVE)
  • Assist vulnerability management program by identifying, tracking, and prioritizing security risks. Ensure timely resolution by collaborating with IT and development teams. (HAVE TO HAVE)
  • Knowledge of maintaining security tools such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM systems.
  • Support incident response activities, including initial investigation, containment, and reporting of security incidents.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
  • Perform routine audits to ensure security compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Research and stay informed about current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
  • Document and maintain records of security incidents, configurations, and changes to security systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff on security-related issues.
  • Fundamental understanding of best practices for network, endpoint, cloud and application security.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field. Or possess relevant work experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in cyber security or related roles.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CySA+ is desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of security tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts effectively.
