Job Description
Our client, a global leader in oil & gas, is seeking an Automation Technician to support service and maintenance of oilfield automation equipment. This field-based role reports to the Field Services Leader and involves installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical/electronic systems.
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment
- Perform electrical/electronic installations and conduit setup
- Diagnose well-optimization issues and resolve independently or with specialists
- Operate electronic tools/equipment and work in demanding outdoor environments
- Collaborate across teams to meet operational goals
- Work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years electrical experience in oil & gas
- Valid driver’s license, clean record, and ability to pass DOT physical
- Ability to lift 55 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred:
- Journeyman/Master Electrician license
- Experience with drives, automation systems, and instrumentation
- Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills
