Job Description

Our client, a global leader in oil & gas, is seeking an Automation Technician to support service and maintenance of oilfield automation equipment. This field-based role reports to the Field Services Leader and involves installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and troubleshoot automation equipment
  • Perform electrical/electronic installations and conduit setup
  • Diagnose well-optimization issues and resolve independently or with specialists
  • Operate electronic tools/equipment and work in demanding outdoor environments
  • Collaborate across teams to meet operational goals
  • Work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years electrical experience in oil & gas
  • Valid driver’s license, clean record, and ability to pass DOT physical
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred:

  • Journeyman/Master Electrician license
  • Experience with drives, automation systems, and instrumentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and independent work skills
