Senior Solutions Architect – Healthcare

Murtech Staffing & Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to support a large, complex healthcare organization. This is a highly visible role for an accomplished architect who can bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, influence enterprise strategy, and work effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings 5–7+ years of architecture experience, strong business and technical acumen, and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Healthcare industry experience is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize architecture strategies aligned with business capabilities, objectives, and technology needs.

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand complex business processes, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.

  • Translate business requirements into scalable, practical technical architectures and solution designs.

  • Provide strategic consultation on business processes, technology capabilities, systems, and emerging solutions.

  • Design and evaluate large, complex systems and solutions while considering functionality, integration, scalability, service quality, and operational requirements.

  • Develop architecture models, component requirements, interface specifications, and detailed technical documentation.

  • Evaluate technology and design options and conduct impact analyses for major architectural decisions.

  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology strategies, architecture standards, policies, and best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and recommend technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business value.

  • Analyze data and trends to support architecture and solution-design decisions.

  • Lead the resolution of complex architecture, integration, and business challenges.

  • Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert to business leaders, developers, project teams, and management.

  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to peers and development teams.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies, architecture practices, and industry trends.

  • Lead special projects or complex business initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar architecture role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience
    OR

  • High school diploma/Associate's degree with at least 10 years of relevant subject matter experience

  • Demonstrated experience designing solutions for large, complex enterprise environments

  • Strong understanding of business processes and ability to identify opportunities for technology-enabled improvements

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions

  • Experience evaluating solution options, integrations, dependencies, and architectural impacts

  • Strong technical documentation skills

  • Ability to analyze data and use findings to support solution design and decision-making

  • Broad understanding of enterprise technologies, platforms, systems, and integration concepts

Highly Preferred

  • 5–7 years of healthcare industry experience

  • Previous architecture experience within a large healthcare, health insurance, or similarly complex regulated environment

  • Experience working across both business and technology organizations

The Soft Skills Matter

Technical expertise is important, but success in this position requires an architect who can communicate, influence, and build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • An exceptional written and verbal communicator

  • Comfortable explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Skilled at working with senior business and technology stakeholders

  • Collaborative and able to bring different perspectives together

  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and time-management skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently

  • Adaptable and interested in learning new technologies and business processes

  • Able to influence decisions without relying solely on authority

  • Comfortable navigating complex enterprise environments and competing priorities

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to operate at the intersection of business strategy, technology, and enterprise architecture. You'll have the ability to influence major technology decisions, solve complex business problems, and help shape solutions that impact a large healthcare organization.

If you're an experienced architect who combines technical depth with outstanding business and communication skills, we'd like to hear from you.
