Senior Program & Project Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

Lead Complex Enterprise Initiatives That Drive Business Results

We are seeking an experienced Senior Program & Project Manager to lead large, high-impact initiatives that support strategic business objectives, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and market readiness. This individual will serve as the single point of accountability for successful project delivery, partnering across business and technology teams to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys influencing cross-functional teams, and can successfully manage enterprise-wide programs from planning through implementation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional technology and business initiatives spanning 30–60 product areas.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, governance, implementation, and business readiness.
  • Develop integrated project plans that align scope, timelines, resources, budgets, dependencies, and business objectives.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure alignment, remove obstacles, and achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate executive-level communications, status reporting, governance meetings, and decision-making.
  • Drive operational readiness, training, implementation, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
  • Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority while fostering accountability and collaboration.
  • Promote continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and best practices into future delivery efforts.

What Makes You Successful

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • A proven track record of successfully leading large, complex enterprise programs.
  • The ability to navigate ambiguity while creating clarity, alignment, and forward momentum.
  • Strong business acumen and enterprise delivery management expertise.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and building consensus across multiple business units.
  • Strong financial management, resource planning, and risk management capabilities.
  • A results-oriented mindset focused on accountability, execution, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of project management experience, successfully delivering large, complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the healthcare or health insurance industry.
  • Experience supporting Open Enrollment (OEP/AEP) readiness initiatives.
  • Experience implementing Commercial and Government health insurance products.
  • Experience using Monday.com, Planview, and Oracle ERP (Resource & Financial modules).
  • Ability to operate at the Program Manager level while maintaining strong hands-on project management discipline.

Why You'll Be Successful

This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys solving complex business challenges, building relationships across organizations, and delivering enterprise initiatives that make a measurable impact. You'll have the opportunity to influence executive stakeholders, guide strategic programs, and help shape the successful delivery of critical business initiatives.
