Telecom Support Technician / Business Technical Analyst

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite)

Murtech Staffing is seeking a Telecom Support Technician / Business Technical Analyst to support a leading healthcare organization in the Pittsburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on telephony experience who enjoys troubleshooting, hardware deployment, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for enterprise telephony equipment, including Avaya, SPOK, and MarketSpark systems.
  • Install, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain telephones, pagers, telephony hardware, and supporting servers.
  • Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and telephone deployments.
  • Assist with cabling and re-mapping connections during equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Diagnose and resolve telephony hardware and connectivity issues.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting hospital and physician office locations.
  • Work primarily in telecommunications closets and other behind-the-scenes hospital environments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed (after training).
  • Will travel 3 days/week to one location and 2/days week at another - both Pittsburgh based

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–5 years of experience supporting enterprise telephone or telecommunications systems.
  • Experience with telephone deployments, hardware installations, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple technical tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable working in hospital environments, equipment rooms, and telecommunications closets.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

  • Healthcare IT or hospital support experience
  • Telecommunications infrastructure and structured cabling
