Job Description

Privately held, independent SEC registered investment advisory firm based in Pittsburgh, PA. Since 1983, we have provided comprehensive fee-only investment and wealth management services to individuals, high net-worth individuals, corporate, government and eleemosynary organizations. Responsibilities We are seeking a candidate to join our team as a Client Relationship Specialist (CRS). The CRS will work directly with a senior partner, maintaining superior client service standards through a combination of supporting pro-active client engagement, effectively responding to inbound client service requests, and implementing a variety of investment, portfolio, and wealth management strategies. Client Service responsibilities will include: responding to and completing client service requests, scheduling and preparing materials for client and prospect meetings, gathering and organizing data for financial planning, documenting outcomes of meetings in our CRM and trading systems, completing forms for account opening and administration, and assisting with the firm’s quarterly reporting process. Implementation responsibilities will include: dollar cost averaging, investment policy compliance, rebalancing, cash management/money movement, tax loss harvesting, completion of Required Minimum Distributions, net income calculations for trust distributions, and charitable giving and gifting strategies. Attributes of a Qualified Candidate
  • Possession of a Series 65 or Series 7 license OR sound knowledge of investment advisory business including the fundamentals of portfolio management, investment taxation, and compliance principles
  • Desire to be part of a client service focused, in-office culture
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good judgement
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible attitude and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with portfolio management systems and trading software, custodial client service platforms, and Client Relationship Management (CRM) software (Tamarac preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attainment of the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • A minimum of years three of experience in the investment advisory business
