IT Project Coordinator
Pay Rate: $32.00/HR W2
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Location: Remote (Charlotte, NC area – must be able to travel at own cost for onsite work as needed)
Duration: 6-month contract
Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support enterprise lifecycle initiatives by managing and executing coordination efforts across multiple projects. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure alignment with operational and strategic objectives. The coordinator will work cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to drive project success from initiation through completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site logistics including vendor site access, floor plans, and site readiness
- Engage with site coordinators and partner teams to support project execution
- Manage shipping and receiving of equipment and materials
- Create and manage vendor labor purchase orders (POs) and equipment orders
- Develop and maintain rollup reporting and project status updates
- Support asset management and financial capitalization processes
- Maintain SharePoint sites and support Power BI reporting and coding
- Lead project intake by interviewing service requesters and aligning on scope and schedule
- Define scope of work for Technology Enablement & Coordination (TEC)
- Engage cross-functional teams (FTS, Network, Voice, Procurement, Engineering, etc.)
- Identify and allocate resources across multiple projects
- Develop and maintain project plans including tasks, timelines, and dependencies
- Manage budgets and submit project services for approval
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate implementation schedules and ensure timelines are met
- Open and track service requests to completion
- Manage resources and resolve issues or escalate as needed
- Coordinate project closeout and cleanup activities
- Ensure proper handling and risk compliance for hardware
- Manage communication with stakeholders, end users, and leadership throughout project lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in project coordination, project management, or similar role required
- Experience supporting enterprise IT or lifecycle projects preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in technical environments
- Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint and Power BI preferred
- Experience with asset management, procurement processes, and financial tracking is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively
- Proven ability to resolve issues and escalate appropriately
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
