Technical Support Coordinator / Service Desk Representative

Location: Delmont, PA - ONSITE

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Support Coordinator who will serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries while also providing basic technical troubleshooting support. This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on mechanical knowledge, making it ideal for someone who is comfortable both on the phone and with equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background and the ability to assist customers in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues over the phone.


Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and manage incoming customer calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting assistance for equipment issues
  • Guide customers through basic diagnostics and potential fixes over the phone
  • Accurately document customer issues, service requests, and resolutions
  • Coordinate with service technicians or escalate issues when needed
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by delivering excellent service and clear communication
  • Assist with general administrative duties as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude or background (experience working with machinery, equipment, or tools)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Experience in customer service, administrative support, or call handling
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly under pressure
  • Basic computer skills and ability to document information accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technical support, service coordination, or equipment troubleshooting
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or maintenance environments
  • Familiarity with service ticketing systems or CRM tools
