Machinist (Mazak Lathe Operator)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with Mazak Lathe experience to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Mazak machines and the ability to interpret CAD drawings to ensure accurate machining and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Mazak CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components
• Interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements
• Perform machine setup, including tooling selection, offsets, and program adjustments
• Monitor machining processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and meet production standards
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating Mazak CNC lathes
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints
• Experience with machine setup, programming edits, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mazatrol programming
• Background in high-precision or production machining environments
• Familiarity with additional CNC equipment (mills, multi-axis machines, etc.)
