Job Description

Position:  R&D Technician, two positions

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

Duration:  6-momth W2 contract

Description:  

The R&D Technician will work extensively supporting powder coating technologies. The technician will be accountable for routine experiments, recording results, and learning basic knowledge of raw materials, using lab equipment to prepare powder samples, run basic testing, and capture and record data.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of basic computer skills
• Upkeeps Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) to document all formulation, processes, and testing data
• May use Microsoft Work/Excel/other software programs to record and report data
• Demonstrates ability to manage time efficiently
• May work on multiple projects at once
• Maintains clean work areas and participates in Housekeeping and Safety programs as required
• Performs sample preparation and testing according to set standards
• Understands and follows all Work Instructions, SOP’s and ITM’s after being trained and signed off to use equipment
• Works with manager and chemists on the team to understand project needs and priorities
• Effectively communicates project timeline and results and assists team members to meet project deadlines
• Complies with all safety regulations
• Follows all company and site safety rules, as well as safety rules specific to the powder lab
