Job Description

Position: Lab Technician, two positions
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6-momth W2 contract
Description:
These Technicians are responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to developing products and technologies.
You will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab, general housekeeping, ensuring a safe work environment and will independently perform tasks as outlined by his/her supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing basic paint making processes and creating formulations that meet manufacturers specifications
  • Working with various powder coating technologies including, Epoxy, Hybrid, PET TGIC/HAA, and Urethane product types
  • Assists with developing reports and documents detailing test, project, and overall results.
  • Comply with test methods according to set standards.
  • Document all formulation processes.
  • Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports, outlining procedures used and the results obtained.
  • Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.
  • Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.
  • Communicate with internal as well as external customers.
  • Manage work in accordance of timeline goals.
  • Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
  • Seek assistance on priorities for scheduling work.
  • Verbally communicate routine information to supervisor and others in platform.
  • Recognize routine requirements and selects proper, simple procedures for obtaining desired results to solve problems.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic math skills
  • Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication and data analysis
  • Familiarity with scientific principles, products and/or processes
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
  • Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a laboratory preferred.
