Position:   Laboratory Technician

Location:  Garland, TX

Duration:  Six-month, W2 contract with the potential to convert to full time

***Must be US Citizen or Green card holder***

Required Skills:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status)
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis
• Ability to learn software used in lab
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner
• Must pay attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and work with a team

Responsibilities:

• Cleans, maintains and calibrates standard equipment and maintains a clean and safe working environment
• Completes appropriate forms and documentation regarding tasks and requests; receives direction from other technicians or chemists on specialized or complex issues
• Performs basic calculations to prepare, perform, and conclude samples
• Performs basic technical tests and analyses based on formulas and project requirements; tasks are more standard and require limited judgment within established guidelines
• Prepares basic samples, materials, equipment, and other required tools for laboratory tests or development
• Performs coating spray application
