Job Description

Desktop Support Technician

Location: Melville, NY 11747 / New York, NY 10018 (will support both sites)

Pay Rate: $26.00/HR W2

Hours: Full time, M-F, 8am-5pm  

Duration: Contract-to-Hire   

 

Description:

  • Duties will include standard desktop/Laptop break/fix items 
  • Receive user calls and offer remote or on-site support. 
  • Troubleshoot system, office, hardware, and business applications 
  • Management and installation of equipment in the meeting room (projector, laptop, and videoconference) 
  • Monitor calls, incidents and requests using client provided Service Now tool 
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups. 
  • Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed. 

 

Skills:

  • Deskside Support Experience 
  • Great Customer Service
  • Troubleshooting skills with hardware and software 
  • AV support. 
  • Depot repair diagnostic skillset
  • Imaging
  • Network and connectivity 
  • IMAC (Install Move Add Change) and Computer imaging. 
  • AD Provisioning
  • Desktop Support (WIN10 / O365 Outlook Support)
  • Certifications preferred, at least 1 of 5: Comptia A+ , Network + , Server+ or Security+ or Mac
