Job Description

Helpdesk Support Technician

Location: Remote – With HQ in Garden City, NY 11530

Pay Rate: $27.00/HR W2

Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Duration: 6 months (possible extension / permanent hire)

Description:

  • Provide remote technical support to customers
  • Following up with customers to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding availability and scheduling commitments
  • Communicate service escalations in a clear and timely manner
  • Record time / document work performed and submit weekly time sheet
  • Experience with a help desk ticketing system and RMM software (Connectwise manage and Automate preferred)
  • Experience with backup software (StorageCraft or Acronis preferred)

 

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in a fast-paced support desk environment
  • Address Tier 1 and 2 issues that include but are not limited to servers restores, virus outbreaks, network printing issues, COTS packages installation and troubleshooting, network switching, routing, firewalls, and email security appliances.
  • Experience with ticketing software and RMM tools (ConnectWise Manage and Automate preferred)
  • Experience with backup software (Acronis or Storage Craft preferred)
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Macs, Windows PCs, servers, switches and Chromebooks
  • Experience with Healthcare support
  • Experience working with printer and application support
  • Knowledge of WAN and LAN Concepts
