Position: VeloCloud SD-WAN Engineer

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Location: Cleveland, OH; Herndon, VA; or Fairfield, NJ

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled VeloCloud SD-WAN Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and supporting SD-WAN solutions using VMware VeloCloud. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to support enterprise network transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement SD-WAN architectures using VeloCloud
• Configure and manage VeloCloud Orchestrator, Edge, and Gateway devices
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize SD-WAN performance
• Implement SD-WAN security features including VPNs and firewalls
• Collaborate with security, systems, and infrastructure teams on integration efforts
• Maintain detailed network documentation and operational runbooks
• Apply deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VPN, and MPLS
• Provide support and recommendations for continuous improvement of the SD-WAN environment

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen (required)
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and supporting SD-WAN
• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN or similar solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills and network performance tuning expertise
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards related to network architecture
