Your Mission

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will own both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of the machining department. You’ll safeguard precision at every step, from scheduling to delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence. You’ll partner cross-functionally, develop people, and implement systems that make the operation stronger, leaner, and more resilient.

Core Leadership Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of production scheduling to ensure timely, quality-driven delivery.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations to maintain a safe, productive workplace.
  • Oversee staffing, workforce planning, shift schedules, vacation planning, and skills deployment.
  • Use data-driven insights to assess performance and execute corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production control to align priorities and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Champion training and development, maintaining a robust skills matrix and onboarding program.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives with measurable impact.
  • Act as a cross-functional liaison to expedite work orders and sustain manufacturing flow.
  • Manage administrative requirements including timekeeping, payroll approvals, and vacation tracking.
  • Drive a culture of engagement, coaching, and accountability focused on team success.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience; CNC machining environment strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in production scheduling, workflow optimization, and shop-floor operations.
  • Proven success in team leadership, training program development, and building accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and quality frameworks (AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP a plus).
  • Confident decision-maker with strong conflict-resolution and communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude with hands-on understanding of machine tools, precision measurement, and machining practices.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset backed by data-driven execution and purposeful leadership.

Your Impact

You’ll be at the core of the organization’s mission, strengthening precision manufacturing capabilities that support aviation safety and nuclear reliability worldwide. You’ll empower machinists, elevate systems, and drive operational excellence.
