Job Overview
As an SAP Solution Architect at OPG, you will play a mission-critical role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving integrated SAP solutions. Leveraging TOGAF and leading architecture frameworks, you will ensure technical excellence and alignment across business, application, data, and technology domains. You will work closely with utility experts and a high-performing ERP team to support OPG’s Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR) and deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise & Technical Architecture (TOGAF/COBIT/SAP Activate):
Business Architecture & Process Optimization:
- Analyze and translate OPG’s business strategies, goals, and processes into SAP-enabled solutions that support the Strategic Transformation Roadmap.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, utility experts, and ERP team members to identify transformation opportunities and ensure measurable value and compliance.
- Lead fit-gap analysis, solution design, prototyping, integration, testing, and deployment, applying SAP Activate and agile methodologies (including SAFe)
Project Management, Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration:- Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between architecture, delivery, and business objectives.
- Contribute to agile ceremonies, project planning activities, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment.
- Provides expert guidance on configuration, customization reduction/management, and best practices.
- Works closely with developers, functional consultants, and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Continuous Learning, Thought Leadership & Initiative:
• Champion a culture of continuous learning by staying current with SAP innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Iteratively deliver thought leadership by sharing insights, best practices, and lessons learned within OPG and the broader SAP community.
• Demonstrate initiative and a self-driven attitude in identifying opportunities, solving complex problems, and driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in SAP solution architecture, design, and implementation across business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or ECC modules and integration with other enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of TOGAF, COBIT, SAP Activate, and agile frameworks (such as SAFe, Scrum, Kanban), with practical experience in applying these methodologies to support strategic transformation.
- Experience rapidly producing architecture deliverables and components using tools like LeanIX and Signavio.
- Project management experience and demonstrated ability to work as an effective team player in cross-functional agile teams, especially in collaboration with utility experts and high-performing ERP teams.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-driven attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, ABAP, SAP Cloud Platform, and integration tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- SAP certification(s) and additional certifications in TOGAF, COBIT, or agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable.
