Job Description
                                    We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead and strengthen the Manufacturing Engineering function within a large-scale aerospace assembly operation in Calgary. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving new program introduction, optimizing production processes, and ensuring world-class manufacturing standards.
 
The Director will play a critical role in shaping the future of manufacturing engineering, leading a team of professionals, and ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, and quality. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership position that will influence both day-to-day production and long-term manufacturing strategy.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
- New Program Introduction (NPI):
 - Integrate manufacturing requirements into new aircraft build processes.
 - Ensure timely release of production documentation and first article delivery.
 - Lead cross-functional Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDTs).
 - Drive effective change management to minimize disruption.
 - Business Process Improvement:
 - Benchmark processes against industry best practices.
 - Provide solutions for production issues and line support.
 - Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
 - Functional Leadership:
 - Define manufacturing standards, processes, and procedures.
 - Develop KPIs and governance frameworks to measure success.
 - Lead, mentor, and grow the Manufacturing Engineering & Industrialization team.
 - Oversee departmental budgets and financial performance.
 
 
Qualifications
 
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
 - 10+ years of progressive experience in complex assembly/manufacturing environments (aerospace preferred).
 - Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
 - Proven track record in new program introduction and manufacturing integration.
 - Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
 - Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control.
 - Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
