Job Title: Project Manager - Medical Isotopes
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to oversee complex engineering projects, with a focus on cost control, scheduling, procurement, and stakeholder coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on nuclear industry experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high-compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, providing internal and external status reports, plans, and progress updates.
- Oversee daily project operations and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to processes and timelines.
- Manage projects, including CGD, reverse engineering, and skid-based system development and fabrication.
- Conduct procurement engineering activities, liaising with vendors to verify service/component compliance and coordinate inspections and source surveillance.
- Lead the non-conformance reporting process
- Supervise testing, troubleshooting, and investigative work related to the fabrication and performance of nuclear-grade parts and systems.
- Investigate failures or performance issues in-service or during testing and ensure resolutions meet client expectations.
- Support contract negotiation and administration, including scope definition, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to project team members, fostering a problem-solving culture.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and timely project control reporting.
- Manage projects ranging from small-scale to over $1M+, balancing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations and detailed proposals for a range of projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Engineering or a related field (4-year university program or equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the nuclear industry or a similar high-compliance engineering environment.
- Strong background in component/system design, build, testing, and procurement within nuclear or regulated sectors.
- Proven experience in equipment/material testing using advanced electronic tools, especially in nuclear plant contexts.
- Familiarity with national and international standards related to nuclear systems and quality.
- Working knowledge of nuclear quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated understanding of Human Performance (HU) principles; prior experience in HU culture within nuclear stations preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Eligibility to obtain Nuclear Security Clearance is required.
