  Role: Owner Engineers

  Location: 40 hours per week on Bruce Power Site (177 Tie Road, Tiverton, ON)

  Target Rate Range: $60-80/hour* Depends on level experience.

  General Accountabilities

   

  • Reporting to the accountable Design Engineering Section Manager to provide Owner Engineer support
  • Manage and co-ordinate technical support of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ensure work is completed to required technical standards
  • Coordinate with Work Management, Supply Chain, Trades FLM's, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Waste Management, Environment and other stakeholders to assist implementation of projects from concept through execution, commissioning and return to service
  • Manage assigned project deliverables on schedule and budget
  • Other duties as assigned

  General Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • A Professional Engineer of Ontario (PEO), or eligible for PEO status, with a passion for engineering
  • Bruce Power and/or OPG Security Clearance is an asset
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards is desired, along with a strong understanding of and commitment to meeting superior quality assurance requirements

•  – Electrical OE with buses experience: Working knowledge of low and medium voltage distribution systems, ranging from 250 Vdc to 13.8 kV, including switchgear buses, transfer buses, bus ducts.  Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and other applicable standards.  Knowledge/awareness of nuclear power plant distribution systems (Class I, II, III, IV power, emergency transfer scheme).
