Duration: 1 Year (On-Site)
Hourly Rate: $65 - 85/hour

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Bruce Power for a 1-year on-site contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of systems aligned with regulatory and safety standards. Expertise in Seismic Design, Human Factors, or Fire Protection is required to support specialized projects in the nuclear power domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering analyses and design evaluations for electrical systems within a nuclear facility.
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards, particularly in Seismic Design, Human Factors Engineering, or Fire Protection Systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review design documentation, safety cases, and risk assessments.
- Contribute to modifications of electrical systems to enhance safety, reliability, and compliance with industry codes.
- Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional Designation: P.Eng (Professional Engineer) designation in Ontario (or eligibility for licensure).
Experience:

- Proven expertise in Seismic Design, Human Factors, or Fire Protection in industrial or nuclear environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably within the energy or nuclear sectors.
- Familiarity with Canadian nuclear codes and standards (e.g., CSA N290 series).

- Proficiency in engineering software tools for analysis and design.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work on-site at Bruce Power for the entire duration of the contract.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for working in a nuclear facility.
- Familiarity with Bruce Power processes and systems is an asset.
