Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a mid- to senior-level UX Consultant to support the design and development of a new AI-first, client-facing SaaS platform in the legal technology space. This consultant will own the UX process—from early concepts through clickable prototypes and developer-ready design assets. You’ll work closely with leadership and development teams to shape a product experience that is highly interactive, data-intensive, and intuitive.

This role requires a strong background in enterprise B2B software design, especially involving structured data and complex workflows. The ability to visualize data effectively, think strategically, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of user interactions and interfaces for a new standalone SaaS application.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes using tools like Figma or Axure.
  • Translate complex workflows into intuitive, scalable designs.
  • Develop assets and specifications for efficient design-to-development handoff.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders, legal SMEs, and developers to align UX with business goals.
  • Apply AI-first design thinking to support structured data interactions and natural language querying.
  • Incorporate user feedback and stakeholder input into iterative design updates.
  • Adhere to UX best practices, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, preferably within B2B SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Experience designing AI-first or data-intensive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of legal tech, compliance workflows, or eDiscovery platforms.
  • Expertise in information architecture and workflow design.
  • Skilled in data visualization and interaction design for structured data interfaces.
  • Proficient in Figma, Axure, or similar UX tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, handoff-ready assets for front-end development teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Experience working with data scientists or ML engineers.
  • Understanding of user research, A/B testing, and usability testing methodologies.
  • Microcopy or UX writing skills to support clarity and trust in AI-generated outputs.

Additional Information: (for the strategy section)

  • The expected duration of this engagement is 12 months, with potential for extension based on project scope and performance.
  • Some travel (approximately 20–30%) may be required to attend workshops or collaborate in-person with internal teams and clients. Common destinations include - Kansas City, Chicago, and various East Coast cities.
  • All travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
  • Candidates must have a portfolio showcasing relevant work samples, ideally including enterprise or data-driven product designs.
