Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to ensure a seamless user experience during changes or enhancements to the IT environment. This role involves testing new features, updates, or tools from a basic end-user perspective, validating that they work as intended and meet user needs. The tester will focus on identifying any discrepancies, usability issues, or unexpected changes introduced by updates or new implementations (e.g., Webex or M365 enhancements).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test changes and enhancements in the IT environment using a standard end-user profile with no elevated access.
  • Validate release notes and identify any changes to screens, features, or user workflows introduced by updates or new implementations.
  • Develop and execute manual test cases and scenarios that reflect real-world user interactions.
  • Identify, document, and report usability issues, bugs, or inconsistencies in the user experience.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to understand the scope of updates or enhancements.
  • Ensure that all changes meet quality standards and do not negatively impact user functionality.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with manual QA testing, particularly from an end-user perspective.
  • Familiarity with IT tools and services such as Microsoft 365, Webex, mobile devices, and operating systems.
  • Ability to analyze release notes and identify potential areas of testing focus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to provide clear feedback and collaborate with IT teams.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):
  • Experience with user experience (UX) testing or usability testing.
  • Familiarity with IT change management processes and tools.
