Job Description

JOB SUMMARY Evaluate and test new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. Write, revise, and verify quality standards while maintaining testing processes and procedures to evaluate the design and production quality of the organization’s custom and COTS software.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three (3) years of QA Analyst experience
• Well-versed with automated testing using Selenium and industry standard frameworks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with custom and COTS Enterprise applications
• Familiar with cloud services in AWS and Azure environments
• Integrated Development Environments, i.e., IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, etc.
• Source versioning system, i.e., GIT, Subversion
• Trouble ticket reporting system, i.e., JIRA, IssueTrak, or similar
• Efficient time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Driven and a quick study

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write and execute test plans to validate business requirements defined in functional specifications
• Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts and suites to confirm the user interfaces, verify functionality, ensure the successful integration of code changes, and deliver a high level of confidence that no regression issues were introduced
• Ensure QA tasks align with project timelines
• Perform ad-hoc testing as requested and as time permits
• Record testing results into the appropriate work tracking software
• Identifies and advises quality improvement opportunities to management
• Runs load and stress tests
• Contribute in the review of functional specification documents
• Document quality assurance practices
• Provide feedback on the quality of work
• Assist the help desk in verifying user reported issues as needed
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
