Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

- This M-F, full-time position is remote (work from home) and requires after-hours support when needed. What you'll do
- Oversee data engineering, reporting, development and delivery of hosted and cloud-based solutions which are secure, performant and scalable.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to prepare and deliver complex data sets that meet business needs.
- Participate in Information Technology strategic, budgeting and project planning functions.
- Defines standards, procedures, and methodologies to ensure the security, integrity, resiliency, scalability and performance of enterprise data resources.
- Lead DE support, maintenance and change management activities including service levels, efficacy reviews and task/resource scheduling.
- Evaluate and adopt third party tools, add-ons, and interfaces that strengthen our product suite or operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of evolving technology, standards and engineering practices that embrace security, quality and automation.
- Participate in proactive assessments, lifecycle and capacity management/planning, business continuity and disaster recovery to maintain service levels.
- Participate in maintaining system standards, information security, Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans that adhere to regulatory requirements working within industry standards and the enterprise security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in Database/Data Architect role or equivalent experience.
- 5 years managing and mentoring data engineering teams or similar disciplines.
- 5 years recent practical experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric/PowerBI, Snowflake, MongoDb and data lake technology administration, ETL, high availability, deployments, and disaster recovery.
- Extensive practical experience designing, developing and managing traditional and cloud databases, data lake, data warehouse and NoSQL solutions.
- Demonstrated experience managing and participating in complex, cross-functional projects and driving technical innovation.
- Ability to thrive as a member of a geographically distributed organization.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong ability to compile, research and analyze complex data.
- Ability to convey complex topics to non-technical audiences verbally and in writing.
- Experience working in Azure DevOps, supporting SDLC, CI/CD development and deployments.
