Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Hotspot Administrator to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for warehousing, device inventory, report generation, and managing the request queue associated with the program. During peak periods of the instructional calendar, the Hotspot Administrator must coordinate bulk deliveries to sites, process returned units, and maintain the overall integrity of the program’s assets and records.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or an equivalent (e.g., General Education Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Two (2) years of work experience in microcomputer support including at least one (1) year in technology-related customer service.
- Previous experience with cellular-based network routers is a plus.
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, technology services, and administration.
- Skilled in applying and encouraging participatory management approaches.
- Broad understanding of technology use within a school environment.
- Strong skills in diplomacy, sound judgment, leadership, problem-solving, and accountability.
- Effective presentation abilities.
- Ability to follow directions and manage multiple major projects and initiatives.
- Capability to respond to and address customer satisfaction feedback.
- Skilled in coordinating tiered support levels.
- Ability to manage and achieve project objectives.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Self-confident, proactive, and self-directed.
PREFERRED
- Industry certification in computer maintenance such as Computer Technology Industry Association (Comp TIA) A+ certification.
- Experience as a technology provider/innovator in a K-12 institution.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the primary operational control of the customer service, operational efficiency and accountability of the program.
- Maintain accurate reporting of user interactions in enterprise-level ticket tracking systems such as CA Service Desk software.
- Use troubleshooting skills to resolve basic computer and cellular interface technical issues.
- Utilize software to improve the operational efficiencies of the program.
- Maintains the accuracy of billable services from the cellular provider.
- Manages the inventory of the program and the legitimate assignment of assets to the student population with assistance from site staff that has been designated to administrate site local inventory.
- Maintains reports and records that support the auditability of the program by internal and external funding entities which may include but not limited to federal, state and local agencies.
- Supports site local technical staff in the testing and validation of units that are in their local inventory and produce and maintain testing and validation procedures for their use.
- Maintain a reasonable stock of working units in the central warehouse that can be used to replace or supplement site-based local inventory.
- Quarterly or more often performance a program audit of units within the program’s inventory as well as confirmation the inventory of all District sites inventory to minimize cost and maintain material risk of the program.
- Performs other duties related to the position, as assigned.
