Legal Assistant - Financial Services

Toronto, ON

Our client, a top tier law firm, located in the core of downtown Toronto is hiring! They are looking to add a Legal Assistant with strong attention to detail and technical skills to support a few busy professionals working in Financial Services practices.

Strong initiative, ability to prioritize and multi-task are key to being successful in this role. A strong administrative background with a keen interest in working in this area of law is also necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Edit and organize all necessary transactional documentation
  • Provide administrative support on all transactions (i.e. signature page packages, wire confirmations & organization outgoing wires, prepare and compile record books, etc.)
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Manage client file openings, calendar management and conflict checks
  • Manage duties related to accounting (i.e. billing, paying invoices, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Three years previous experience as a legal assistant
  • Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and/or Law Clerk program
  • Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Applications
  • Experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents
  • Experience using docuSign and closing folders
