Our client, a mid size firm located in the core of downtown Toronto seeks a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join its team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teraview - obtain parcel registers and copies of instruments on title; DocuSign - sending documents to be signed electronically; Producing blacklines/redlines, editing, compiling and converting pdfs, creating bookmarks in pdf, saving documents, search for documents/files (iManage), drafting and editing documents; Drafting expense reports and preparing cheque requests; Trust transfers & drafting trust reconciliation statements; Calendar management, Printing and scanning documents, arranging lunch meetings, registering professionals for courses and webinars; Obtaining and editing proformas, opening files, conducting conflict searches etc; Compiling Officer's Certificates; Obtaining parcel registers and copies of instruments on file.
Qualifications:
Legal Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution; 5+ years experience working within the real estate department in a law firm; Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong proofreading skills and transcription skills ; Proficiency using Conveyancer and Teraview is a asset; Hands on experience with pre-billing administration (preferably 3E); Familiarity working within a DMS system is an asset.
